2. Our approach

This website is deliberately built to collect as little personal data as possible:

• We set no cookies and use no comparable tracking technology such as local storage or browser fingerprinting.
• We embed no third-party services — no analytics, no advertising networks, no social media widgets, no external fonts, no embedded videos or maps. Every resource the site loads is served from our own infrastructure.
• We create no user accounts and no sessions, and we build no user profiles.
• We carry out no profiling and no automated individual decision-making.

The only personal data we process is described in the next section.

3. What we process, and why

3.1 Server log files

When you visit this website, your browser necessarily transmits certain technical information to our web server, which records it in a log file. This concerns:

• your IP address
• the date and time of the request
• the page or file requested
• the HTTP status code returned
• the amount of data transferred
• the browser type and version and the operating system reported by your browser
• where applicable, the referring page

Purpose. We process this data to deliver the website to you, to keep it secure and stable, to detect and defend against attacks and abuse, and to diagnose technical faults.

Retention. Log entries are regularly deleted automatically. We do not merge log data with other data sources, and we do not attempt to identify individual visitors from it.

3.2 Contact form and email correspondence

If you use our contact form or write to us directly, we process the data you provide — typically your name, your email address, and the content of your message — together with the date and time of the transmission.

Purpose. We use this data solely to read your message, to respond to it, and to manage any follow-up correspondence or business relationship that arises from it.

Retention. We keep correspondence for as long as is necessary to deal with your enquiry and to satisfy any applicable statutory retention obligations, and delete it thereafter.

Spam protection. Our contact form uses a purely technical validation mechanism to distinguish genuine submissions from automated ones. It stores nothing on your device and processes no additional personal data about you.

4. Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own purposes.

Personal data is accessible to our staff on a need-to-know basis, and to the service providers who develop and host this website, who act as processors on our instructions and are contractually bound to the same standard of protection.

Beyond this, we disclose personal data only where we are required to do so by law or by a binding order of a court or authority.

5. Transfers abroad

Our servers are located in Switzerland. We do not transfer personal data collected through this website abroad.

6. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access or alteration. In particular, this website is served exclusively over an encrypted TLS connection, which you can recognise by the https:// prefix in your browser's address bar.

Please note that transmission of data over the internet can never be guaranteed to be completely secure. In particular, email sent to us in unencrypted form may be read by third parties in transit. If your enquiry is confidential, please contact us by telephone or ask us to arrange an encrypted channel.

7. Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), you have the right to:

• request access to the personal data we hold about you and to information about how it is processed;
• request the rectification of data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• request the deletion of your data, or object to its processing, where we have no overriding interest or legal obligation requiring us to keep it;
• request the surrender or transfer of data you have provided to us, in a commonly used electronic format, where the conditions of the FADP are met.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in section 1. We will respond within 30 days, free of charge. We may ask you for information reasonably necessary to confirm your identity before we act on a request, in order to make sure we do not disclose your data to someone else.

8. Providing your data is voluntary

You are under no legal or contractual obligation to give us personal data. The technical data described in section 3.1 is an unavoidable consequence of how the internet works and cannot be switched off, but the data in section 3.2 is entirely up to you. If you choose not to send us a message, the only consequence is that we will not be able to reply to you.

9. Changes to this policy

We may amend this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to the website or to the applicable law. The version published here at the time of your visit is the one that applies. Please check the date at the top of the page.
